Schedule a Donation Pickup in Pennsylvania
Pickup Please collects your donations on behalf of the Vietnam Veterans. Donations help the VVA's efforts in programs all across Pennsylvania. Each and every VVA Chapter plays a key role in bringing support to all of our nation’s veterans.
A great focus of Chapter 466 of Graterford is towards giving incarcerated veterans a voice. This chapter works with the Graterford State Correctional Institute to fight for incarcerated veterans who suffer from PTSD. The chapter works with the Veterans Justice Outreach Program that targets homelessness among veterans. Their primary objective is to prevent veterans from being homeless and connecting them with the proper care and medical treatment. By holding highway clean ups, the members of Chapter 720 in Kersey show their commitment to making their community a better place. From their National Suicide Prevention hot line to helping vets find jobs, education, and training, the VVA of Pennsylvania supports veterans in so many different ways. Chapter 542 of Harrisburg holds the Annual Friends of Vietnam Veterans Golf Tournament where all the proceeds are donated to support local veteran efforts. This chapter also visits the West Perry High School where their members interact with students to educate them on the Vietnam War. In addition they contribute to veterans by holding the annual Support the Troops rally and picnic at the State Capitol. Every effort and program set forth by these chapters and the VVA Pennsylvania State Council help our nation’s veterans in need.
