About VVA
In January 1978, a group of fifteen Vietnam veteran advocates got together in Washington, D.C., and began the organization that became Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA).
Over the years, VVA has been the primary organization insisting that the U.S. Government hold up its obligation to all veterans and today, the VVA is the only congressionally chartered national Vietnam veterans service organization.
The VVA is a respected charity that gives aid to all of America’s veterans, not just those of a particular age group or war.
By donating used clothes, shoes, appliances, and other household items through Pickup Please on behalf of the VVA, you help generate funds to take care of the soldiers and service men and women who help keep America safe from harm.
