Our Program

For over 35 years, Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) has been at the forefront in making sure our nation keeps its promise to all who served. Living up to their founding principle, “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another”, VVA is leading the challenge to do what is right for America and its veterans. As the only congressionally chartered national veteran’s service organization, VVA is dedicated to providing critical support to all veterans – past, present and future. Pickup Please collects donations on behalf of the VVA.

VVA Mission:

Using the shared vision of our membership, we aggressively advocate on issues important to veterans; provide programs and services that improve the well-being of all veterans and their families; and serve our communities.

The VVA offers critical support services and advocates for the many issues that our veterans face:

  • Veterans Health Care
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • VA Benefits and Compensation Issues
  • Homelessness and Substance Abuse
  • Veteran Employment and Education
  • Minority Veteran Issues
  • Toxic Battlefield Exposures
  • Prisoners of War/Missing in Action

With over 650 chapters in all 50 states and over 72,000 members, the VVA has made a huge impact on the lives of America’s veterans and their families. Your donations of gently used items through Pickup Please helps the VVA continue to provide the critical support that our veterans need. You can visit the VVA website to learn more.
