Reduce your clutter by repurposing it. It’s fun and a great way to unleash your inner creative. See how stylish you can make your home and think of the good you are doing for the environment by recycling things that could have ended their lives at the dump.

Try these fantastic ideas for transforming your home:

1. Old Frames to Jewelry Organizers – Wooden picture frames make great, open jewelry organizers. Remove the glass and screw hooks into the frame. Hang your jewelry from the hooks, and then hang the frame on your wall.

2. Glass Jars to Holders – Jars make great holders for office things, like pens, paper clips, and small miscellaneous items. They are also suitable for the bathroom as toothbrush and toothpaste holders. For an added touch of individuality, try painting the outside. Decorated glass jars are stylish and can be a great accent to any room.

3. Chair Dog Food Stand – Large dogs need to have their bowls at head height, so they do not strain when eating or drinking. Take two old wooden chairs that you love but do not use and cut circular holes in the seats, then place your dog’s food and water bowl in them.

4. Cupcake Tin to Earrings Holder – you know that baking tin that goes in the oven and allows you to make 6, 8, or 10 cupcakes a time? If it is collecting dust on a shelf, it would be perfect to use for storing earrings, pins, and rings. All you have to do is move it from your kitchen to your bedroom or bathroom.

5. Tin Pail Ice Bucket – You know that old tin pail in the garage that you got from your grandmother’s place? Don’t toss it. Clean it up, fill it with ice, and stand a bottle of white wine inside. It’s a great patio ice bucket.

  1. Shower Curtain Hooks to Storage Organizers – Take those curtain hooks and attach them to a railing in the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, or garage. Hang miscellaneous items from these convenient curtain hooks. Use them to organize everything from scarves to purses, from clothing to cleaning bottles.

  1. Ladder-Back Chair to Spice Rack – A ladder-back chair is called that because the back looks similar to a ladder. Attached to a wall, the back of a chair like this (i.e. with the legs and seat removed) makes a great rack for spices. Alternatively, hang small towels or jewelry.
